I have been making full sized historical costume for twenty years and I have now decided to combine two of my great interests, costume and dolls houses. I now make twelfth scale, historically dressed dolls house dolls. All the dolls on the following pages are twelfth scale.

About my dolls
The dolls are porcelain with hand painted features, they have wired arms and feet (and in some cases bodies) to allow them to be posed. However they are collectors items - not toys - and need to be treated gently, continual bending of a limb in the same place will eventually cause it to break. These dolls are not suitable for small children.
All my doll's clothing is stitched - the only glue used is in constructing and wigging the doll itself. |
